This Women’s History Month, meet the first female research test pilot at our Dryden Flight Research Center (now the Armstrong Flight Research Center). Kelly Latimer flew the T-38, T-34, C-17, 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft, and our SOFIA (Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy) 747SP. She accumulated over 5,000 hours of military and civilian flight experience in her career.
