Take advantage under AfCFTA Kenyatta tells Kenya/Tanzania Business Forum: President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Tanzania counterpart President Samia Suluhu address a Kenya/Tanzania Business Forum meeting on the second day of the Tanzanian leader’s State Visit to Kenya.
The leaders reassured the businesscommunity of their commitment to the removal of all barriers limiting crossbordertrade and investments.
Pres. Kenyatta challenged the region’s privatesector to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the various multilateral instruments including the AfricanContinentalFreeTradeArea (AfCFTA) to grow their investments.
Pres. Kenyatta welcomed Tanzanian traders to invest in Kenya and announced a raft of incentives including the lifting of workpermit and visa requirements.
On her part, Pres. Samia Suluhu outlined the reforms being undertaken by her administration to enhance ease of doing business, and welcomed Kenyan and African businesses to invest in Tanzania.
